Loud and Proud

Contributed by J Brinkerhoff

I took this shot at Barbers Motorsports. My neighbor races a porsche, although this is not him. I cropped it close because the grass and extra road was a little distracting. I took numerous shots, it was hard because of how fast they were going. I had to use a somewhat slower shutter speed to gain some sense of motion. It was one of my first attempts to catch motion with a slower shutter speed.

Really nice shot of this porsche. I like the close cropping and the background you found to take the shot. The vertical lines add to the sense of movement. Good job capturing the movement while retaining some nice detail in the vehicle.

I really like this shot. The lines on the railing really emphasize motion in this and being that the subject is a racing car it leads you to assume that the car is infact going fast. I like how the image is cropped in close to the subject. I wish you had edited the colors in the car slightly to give it a richer saturation, but overall a very nice shot, good job J-Brinks.

The clarity in this shot is fantastic, if not for the rims and background I would have thought the car to be still. The way you cropped it is great, but I would like to see a little more of the background, to make the movement of the subject a little more obvious.
