Homerun

Contributed by J Morris

I took this photo this summer at a Montgomery Biscuits game. I thought it was a good picture for a couple of reasons. I got the ball coming off the bat, and I got the player swinging. This hit ended up being a home run. I wish it was a little more clear. This is a great motion shot. You can see his whole body moving.

This really is an awesome shot, as far as motion as composition go. Even the baseball in the right half of the shot serves to give the photo some more balance. The only thing I would say as an improvement is maybe try giving the color a bit more intensity; as it stands now the color doesn't do much in the way of making anything stand out. That can be fixed, though, and everything else is great. Good job

I agree with mattox that the colors could be a bit brighter. Otherwise, it is really an excellent action shot. Good work...keep it up!

this shot is really interesting how as your eyes move backward in the shot you can see notice how everyone in that shot is basically on the edge of suspense. I think it's especially cool that it's a homerun shot too.

Yea this shot is unbelievable... I think my favorite part is the team...Go Biscuits!!! But yea the composition is really great, the motion blur of the bat and ball even the guys body is a little blurred and it makes for an amazing photo... the fact that its a homerun is really beastly also.... great shot overall but chris is right it could use some saturation adjustments.... everything else is great good work

I think this is a great shot. I love the feeling of it. It has a sense of tension in the way the catcher is holding his glove and in the batters stance. I do agree with mattox however that the colors are a little flat. Very Nice.

it took me awhile to see that you actually got the ball in motion as well as the bat. i like how everything is still...all except for the ball and bat.
