Broken Box

Contributed by M Crumbley

I took this image in my friends yard this weekend. The Object is one of those green power boxes. My Friend (who will not be named) got boxed into his driveway one morning. He decided to back out of his yard and ended up running over it. I decided to take a picture of it. Tell me what you think. I took it in normal settings around mid-day.

This is a really great picture, I like it. The colors all work well together. And I like how nothing is really blurry other than a little bit of the grass in front.

This picture is kind of bland to me. I see the attempt at creating depth of field, but it just didn't work. It should have been taken at a different time of day. The sky is blown out, and there is a large black spot under the tube that need to be fixed. Just not too great of work, could use some improvements. Maybe next time.

It is very typical of Michael Columbus to hit something while exercising his driving skills. About the photo, the angle of the shooting is pretty good, but the subject matter is plain boring. The colors seem to clash and alot and the photo is blown out. If there were a different subject, it may be ok. Just give it another try and it may work better.

Funny story, but i don't really like the picture, first off the main subject is rather uninteresting, secondly the blurry background is fairly distracting, and thirdly the colors are just bland with no vibrance to them. I will say however that the way the ground in the foreground appears to be going in a different direction from the horizon is pretty interesting looking.

i can obviously tell this is another one of your last minute subjects...at least it looks so, of course it's not always a bad thing. desperation can sometimes cause accidental inspiration. but besides that crap, it's a fairly good shot. little blown out, little blue overcast that can be fixed in photoshop, and the background is out of skew and a little disorienting. the actual subject isn't bad though. nice dof that goes from out of focus to in focus and back out. that kind of 3 perspective shot is really unique and is really pleasing to my eyes.
