Contributed by E Schmelzle I took this picture while i was walking around one day and saw a mushroom. I took pictures of it. It was the only mushroom i saw that day.

I like how you are really focus on the mushroom and the background is blurry. You also used the rule of third which makes the pictures look even cooler. The angle that you caught this was perfect. I like how I can b able to see the different layers that is on that mushroom.
I really like how you got just the right angle and just the right depth of field to make it look like a little bug’s point of view. I don’t think this photo could be any better.
honestly, it's a little boring. it's definitely not horrible but ive seen better work from you. i think if you got rid of the blue tone and maybe not make it so contrasty and more colorful itd be pretty good.
Wow! That is really professional picture. I like how the mushroom is focus and the background is blurry. The mushroom has nice different layers; it makes your picture more interesting. Good job.
i like how the color of this photo gives is a kind of dull krisp hardness. it has good lighting and shows the texture very well also the photo has very good depth of field.
I like the overall objective of this photo. The usage of elements of comp., the texture of the photo ranging from the mushroom to the grass. But what I don’t like so much is the tones you messed with. Perhaps maybe this picture would really pop as a black and white, or without changing the hue too much.
This high school photoblog is the product of the photography students at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Al.
Students take turns posting one of their images along with a brief explanation each school day. The students also trade critiques with their peers from other schools around the country (see high school blog links below).
We are always looking to expand our participating schools. If your photography program starts a blog, email Mr. Myers so he can add your link to our growing list. emyers@hoover.k12.al.us

I love this. It makes me feel like a fairy is going to pop it's head out and look around. It's a very odd subject though.

The colors in this picture work really well with how the camera is focused on the mushroom. The mushroom looks awesome!
