All the People

Contributed by L Jett

I took this photo for a human figure abstract project. I made it grayscale and did a levels adjustment.

There is something special on this picture. The black and white gives it some nice effect. This picture makes me think about friendship, love, and support. I think if you zoom out a little bit the picture turn better, but that is only my opinion. I still love the picture. Good job!

I really like this picture and the abstract look of it. It really brings out the wrinkles and defination in the hand. I think that the greyscale on it is a little bit dark, and more of the hand should be shown.

Because this is supposed to be an abstract picture I like how little you can see of the person. I wish it were the hands of two people though because the visible differences between the two may have made more of an impact. The lighting is dramatic and intense and I like the diagonal that the subject makes across the frame. I almost wish i could see either the entire finger towards the bottom of the frame or less of it. I just seems awkward to me. Other than that I really like this image.

This shot is beautiful! The lighting is absolutely perfect and the entwined fingers make the viewer wonder what the subject is thinking. Also, the BW conversion takes the photo to a new depth. great job!

Laura!!! good work! the contrast of lights and darks on the fingers really makes the picture pop! i also love how you just took a fragmented shot of the fingers to make it abstract. The photograph has a serene and innocent mood. Great!!! love it!

good idea for a shot but it took me a while to figure out all the ins-and-outs of the two hands. maybe its just me and I'm slow though. I recomend maybe moving the camera a bit around to the left so you can see the darker hand's knuckles just a bit more.

I like this picture, the composition is alright but the balance of dark and lights is really good.

this is a great shot for the assignment. it has the definite human element (obviously) but the fingers create a mass of unrecognizable matter. the grayscale added a nice touch to the picture and the shadows add an element of almost mystery. my personal favorite element of this photo is the fingers create leading lines.

Awesome use of shadow. Good composition, good focus, but easily m favorite feature of this photo is the contrast of the very bright points vs. the dark

this is a very good shot. The black and white and the lighting make this shot good, as well as the detail we can see in the hand.

This picture looks really cool. You had a really good idea by using hands as an abstract piece of art. Nice Job!!

Good picture. i like the title. i used to do the little thing where the people come out of the church. you did a black and white picture. I like that you can see the different details of your hand. You can see the wrinkles and such. You did not leave much black area and i like that as well. You used angles a good bit in this picture and you used them well. i like how you have all these in and outs in this picture. i also like how you can see the wrinkles of the knuckles of the fingers. Great picture.

I love this photo. It could tell so many stories and so many things could be said about it. I think the black and white really works with this. The black and white really enhances the subject though I think it would've been better if the hands were a little brighter but still had their features. In my opinion, this shot would've been more interesting if the two hands were two different people. It also would've been better if the hands were completely shown, but that's my opinion. Great picture though. Good job!

i love this photo of hands. i think that when most people would take a shot like this they would not change the background. i love how you made the background black. I also think that grayscale is really good, and you still managed to have true black and white. nice job! :]
