Castillo de San Marcos Fort

Contributed by C Selman

I took this picture in St. Augustine, Florida. The picture is of an old Spanish fort named Castillo de San Marcos that is over 330 years old. I can't remember all of the details on the fort's history, but it makes for somewhat of good picture. I really like the sky in the background. I think I captured the storm moving in fairly well. It adds good mood to the picture.

This photograph is absolutely amazing. I love it. The colors, textures of the walls against the grass, and the cloudy clouds. I just think you should’ve token it at different angles.

This is a neat shot. I like the point of view from which it was taken. The angle makes the wall appear like its shooting up into the sky and creates good leading lines because it leads your eye into the image the further down the wall you go. Good sky with some cool clouds, and there is a good amount of green in the grass to lighten the image and give it balance.

this is a beautiful shot. i love the angle. the curve of the wall really draws the eye around the photo and the sky is amazing! looking at the larger image there are what looks like cranes in the background that you could possibly take out...but hardly noticeable. great job!

i really like this picture. The sky is the most interesting part. It starts of real nice and blue to the top left and then it becomes darker and darker. I see the wall and the way the photo is taken my eye moves down the wall. I like how the lush green grass contrast the wall. The only thing about this picture that i can not figure out is how big everything actully is. i do not know how big that wall really is. Is it a castle or a simple wall. I do like how u have the corner of the wall to the left side of the photo and that stands out the most. you can also see a great deal of detail in the wall's brick layer and that is cool as well. Oveerall this was a great picture. So keep up the work.

That is really professional picture. I really like the angle of the picture. I think some magazine can use your picture. Good job!

I like that this photo uses kind of a narrow range of color, just green and gray for the most part. It sort of conveys the old, antique feel of the fortress as a whole.

good exposure and great sky. The sky is nice and moody and adds to the timeless nature of the structure. These kinds of shots are sometimes hard to get due to the amount of tourists in the shot. Good job!

I’m not exactly sure what it is about this photo that interested me when I saw it. It reminds me of the Chronicles of Narnia movies for some reason.

The natural light helped to perfect this picture extremely. I also think that your angle to shoot this was spot-on.

You used Lines and Leading the Subject exceptionally well in this shot. The winding of the brick wall through the grass is really cool to look at.

I enjoyed the simplicity in the colors of this shot. White, gray, blue and green.

GREAT JOB!
