the hobo cart

Contributed by E Jones

Picture of a train downtown. I like the color and texture of the chains.

i love the colors in this photo! i love the texture of your subject matter and the fact that the viewer isn't completely sure of what the subject is definitely adds interest to your photo. i wish that it was not quite so symmetrical but overall i think this is a great shot! good job :)

I think that this photograph is really cool. The chains and the surface of the roof of the cart look really awesome. I like the knots and stuff in the chains.

This is another really strong image Eric. Your intentional trips for the sole purpose to take photography really pays off. Many young photographers limit their options by never leaving their car or homes.
I really like this image a lot. The subject is interesting and as the other comment said, it is unusual so it adds interest. I like the underling symmetry as it contrasts the chains. I am not sure if I wouldn't like it more if the contrast weren't so strong. Probably due to the time of day the shadows are really dark. I also am curious as to how it would look if you straighted the perspective lines to run parallel to the frame, making it very balanced. Thanks for the great shot!

I have no idea what this is but it makes for a unique abstract shot. The sharpness is good and there is a unique color scheme. I don't like the white line across the middle, i can't tell what that is but other than that i like it. nice job.

I like how the colors seem to be dreary, and how the chains have no specific arrangement, which makes the image dynamic. The angle of the shot makes me wonder what the object is. The only thing i would have corrected would be on the top left and right corners, a little bit of the object frame gets cut off and reveals a dark background.

I like this photo overall. The chains, the rustic color, the old feel of the subject all add a lot. My only complaint really is that unless you're told what the subject is, there's no possible way to know. I'm still not sure of the perspective of this shot

This is a really neat picture. My favorite part of it is the colors. It has a very rustic old look to it. The Chains add a lot of interest to the picture. Good Job.

I like everything about this photo. The colors are great, the red rust contrasts well with the green. The placement of the chains is also interesting. There’s something about this photo that makes you keep looking at it... but I can’t describe what it is! Great Job!

I was really confused when I first looked at this. And even after I’ve read the description, I still can’t really tell what it is or what the point is. Honestly, it is a flat, boring shot. There aren’t any cool angles or even a clear subject. Maybe it's just me. Try some different perspectives to make this more visually interesting and I think you’ll like the results.

I’ve seen his picture a couple of times and every time I see it I always think it is a big car wreck taken from the sky. The stuff in the picture is pretty interesting, even though it is a bunch of the same thing there is a lot of stuff to look at, it keeps your eyes busy. The only thing is besides the stuff in it being interesting the picture itself seems a bit boring. Everything is centered and the lines and the perspective are just, ‘blah’.
