Southern Paradise

Contributed by C Kent

This is a panorama that I made over the summer at one of our condos in Gulf Shores. I just liked how the water looked that day. Once again, curves adjustment did not make a difference. However, this time, I added a little more color to the sky, and a little blue to the water. This is without a doubt my favorite panorama so far.

Good looking panorama. A bit postcard looking for my personal taste but nothing really wrong with it. I think your color adjustments look fairly natural. What would really make this shot better would be some great clouds since your sky is taking up a lot of the image and it is fairly blank.

I love how this picture makes you want to be there. The waters crystal clear blue and the beach house’s make the picture what it is. I think you used an aperture setting to make the houses and the bridge clear, and then behind everything from there is blurring. Elements of compositions used are rule of thirds, or central subject matter. This picture gives off a warm relaxing mood. Gorgeous pictures!

I like how the water is so clear and blue. I think that you used a high ISO. It looks like you used the aperture setting. Some elements of composition used here looks like leading the subject or rule of thirds. The type of mood is happy and relaxing.

I really like this picture. I like the look of all the houses as well as the added board walk. The reflection on the water is nice as well. I would have tried to get the dock on the far right out of the shot though. But at any rate it is a great picture.

This is the exact color of water that comes to mind when you think of summer break, beaches, and vacations! The placement of the houses really works for this photo. They’re spread out enough to make the photo interesting, yet close enough so that it’s not too hard to follow the flow of the picture. The color of the sky, houses, and water make for a great tonal range. The brightness of the houses contrasts with the subtly of the sky, without overpowering it completely. It’s a really great shot and it gives off a relaxing persona. Great job!

I love this panorama. I am fairly new to photography but as far as I see it there is nothing wrong with this image. The water color is amazing and when you look at it you can feel the nice cool water on a hot day. Also I disagree with Mr. Myers, I like the fact that there are no clouds in the sky. I think that the clear sky just gives it one more sense of relaxation. Awesome work.

This picture is awesome. It looks like somewhere I would rather be besides school. The water looks very clear and I love how you got all this in one photo. Without every part of this picture it would defiantly seem like something is missing. I really like this picture though. Great picture!
