Fast Lane

Contributed by A Glass

I took this photo on lorna road. I set my shutter speed to 10 seconds and my f-stop at f20. I am very proud of this photo and hope you enjoy it.

I really like this photo. I like how you used a slow shutter speed so you can just see the lights of the passing cars. Great job!

I absolutely love this photo! I love the idea of fast moving life all around us and the perception of today's society that comes across. I love the still frame yet the moving lights, like cars or something, are continuous. It really adds to the overall image. I'm pleased the expressive lines are in the middle of the frame to really let the viewer concentrate on the important part of the photo. When I saw this, my eye moved from the left side to the right and I assume that is the intended effect for the picture. I especially love how this was captured at night to almost portray how nightlife goes on and busyness of the city. Great job overall and I look forward to seeing more!

Excellent timing with getting the cars in motion. These types of pictures are my favorite type of photography. Good shutter speed timing. It’s a clear picture besides the cars which is hard with a high shutter speed. Using the lines was a good element of composition. I get a city urban like mood from this picture. Good photo :)

I really like this photo because I have always been fascinated by moving light pictures. The traffic lights and the lights of the moving cars turned out very good and moves your eyes around the shot. It is also interesting because I have been to where this photo was taken and I know exactly what it looks like around that area. I would not change a thing about this photo. -BS SPHS

This is a great photo. I like how the photographer set the shutter speed to 10 seconds so we can only see the lights of the cars. The picture makes me feel like the world is passing me by at a rapid pace.

This image is very good. When i first saw it i immediately focused on the lights, because of its uniqueness. The slow shutter speed timing was perfect, i wouldn't change it for anything. I also liked the angle the photo was taken in. Am also a fan of images that have objects in it moving. Besides the shutter speed timing, the time of the car in motion is very impressive! Great job this photo is amazing!-MC SPHS

Good job on this picture. It keeps the viewers eye focused on the car lights, which causes them to look down the street and ponder about the other images in the picture. I wish there was some more blurred straight light lines in the back of the image.

I really like the effect of this picture. The glowing lines from the headlights and tail lights add great effect to the overall photo. The streaks of light offer great contrast to the dark night sky and the black asphalt. Overall a good picture.

This lights on this photo is awesome. The lights from the cars speeding by are my favorite parts of the image. It creates a great effect that raws your eye right to it. How the lights are only on one side of the road is a great touch. I greatly enjoyed this photo.

First of all I must say that this is a great picture. You took something that could have been a simple an turned it into a photo that looks so complex. My favorite part of this picture is the Colors. I wonder how the same shot would look in the daytime. JK SPHS

This photo is awesome! I like it a lot. I like how you chose to put your shutter speed to 10 seconds, it adds lot to the photo. It isn't like a normal photo, I like how you can't make out the shape of the cars, you just see the lights, very creative. The exposure is decent. I like the depth of field. This reminds me of how fast life goes. I would hang this up! Good job!

This photo is very interesting. the high shutter speed makes the picture jump out. also, i like how the scenery fades into the distance along with cars being blurred up close and and slowly clearing up in the far back.

I like how you did the lights it looks really cool. I like how you can actually read the street signs and the green lights are really calm looking.

I really like this photo. The lines do a great job of leading the eye to the back of the picture. It also creates and excellent sense of movement. I think you did a good job of capturing the idea of cars being there without them actually being visible.
