Untitled Awesome

Contributed by L Newport

I took this picture at the botanical gardens and it's one of my favorites. I cropped the image, ran slight curves and hues/saturation adjustments, and ran a sharpening filter. There was also some strange blur spot or something in the water that I clone stamped out.

This photo is a pretty cool one, I like how it is a frame picture, but in a very unique way. I kind of wish that the lily pads were either more in focus or less, I can’t really decide. It’s a very unique perspective. It does kind of look fakeish though.

I like this picture because of the clarity of the reflection in the water. The only thing that distracts me is the red glare/whateveritis, but overall it is a very nice picture

i really like how you focused on the tree (reflection?) like how the lilly pads frame the picture.

At first glance, this picture really caught my eye and intrigued me! The tree’s reflection and the different intensities of blue sky looks really cool! But I’m not sure what I think about the lily pads. It’s a very unique way to frame the reflection, but I can’t pin point what I don’t like about them. Maybe if the colors of them weren’t so bold, they would go along better with the shot. But besides that I really like this shot! So keep up the good work (:

I LOVE the lily pads and the affect of the trees in the water. Awesome aperture effect with the reflection of the trees on the crystal clear water. With the lily pads framing the photo is a cool element. This gives off a really nice relaxing mood. Good job!

I really like the photo, and how you used cool colors to contrast with out-of-focus, more vivid colors to make the focal point pop. I was, however, distracted by the red lens flare. Very good overall though. :)

The reflection in this picture looks so cool because it is so detailed. The lily pads frame the photo, but in a more unique way. Also the colors and contrast in this photo are great.

I really like the colors that are used in this photo. I also think that the way the focus is clear and balanced by blurry bright colors. The only thing I may change is how centered the tree is, because it almost seems to break the rule of thirds.

This picture really caught my eye. The colors go well together and I like the overall idea of the picture. The leafs in the water have a nice blur and the tree grabs your attention. Good work

This is a really cool shot. I like how the lily pads are used as a frame, also how you can see the changing colors of the sky behind the tree. The tree is in really good focus and great use of colors.

I really enjoy this photo. It's a cool reflection with the lily pads around it. I find that focusing on the water was a good idea, and leaving the pads slightly blurry. It has a very nice assortment of colors, ranging from black to bright and vivid greens. I also like the reflection of the sky in the water, giving the area behind the tree a blue tint. Good work.

I really like the idea you had behind this photo. I also really like how most of the focus is on the reflection in the water. However, i think that the leaves and lily pads are a bit too blurry. It would've been just a little better if they were a little clearer. Great photo overall!

I love this photo because the branches are so wonderfully sharp even though they are a reflection on water. The fact that the lily pads ( very nice frame, by the way ) are soft and almost wispy looking, and not to mention colourful, is a great contrast.

This is a great picture. You did a great job doing several different elements of composition. You framed the shot very well with the lilies, and you made an obvious center of interest. I love the way that the colorful lilies make the picture pop compared to a dark background. Great job!

I like this photo because you can see the reflection of the tree in the water. I like how the lilies frame the tree reflection. I think you did a really good job.

This picture is very interesting. I like how when you look at it, the viewer quickly sees the tree and branches in the middle of the frame. The branches are very sharp making it look amazing. The reflection of the tree in the water was a very good idea, also like how the lily pads don't take the focus of the tree. This is a very good image. Keep up the good work! MC SPHS

What caught my eye in this photo is the use of color. While there is obvious color that is seriously popping off the page, there’s a contrast between the leaves and the black reflection of the tree. I also have to give you props for being able to clone stamp the blurriness out. I myself have tried to use that tool and it has not come out nearly as flawless. My favorite part about the photo is the reflection that appears on top of the leaves that are underwater. Super job!

This picture is very interesting. At first i thought it was fake, but then i realized it was a reflection. I love how in focus the reflection is. This is a great picture.

I really like this. It seemed like you stumbled across the little body of water at the right time, because it would be hard to capture such a perfect reflection in still water like this. But it's really pretty. I don't really know how i feel about the lilly pads though. It's kind of a tough call. But i do really like this shot. Its wonderful.

Wow, I really think this picture is awesome. At first glance it seems as though your looking up into the trees, but you have caught the reflection very well. Also, the way you've used the lily pads to border the reflection is very nice and how their blurry acts as a frame for the photo. I love the colors too, nice work!
