Fall

Contributed by G Lee

I took this image by the Hoover Library. The sun was right over head so lighting was great for a shot like this. The yellow in the trees was really brought out n the sunlight. The path leads into a darker part where a lot of detail still exists. I enhanced the colors and sharpened the image to give it more punch. That's about it.

This is an interesting photo. I think you had a great idea by getting the path in this picture, because it does lead my eyes a bit. However, I do have to look for it a bit to find all of it (It's obvious in the picture, but what I mean is that it isn't really the subject). I think this could be a bit better if it weren't so busy with all the trees (and shadows of the trees), signs, and telephone poles in the background. I do see how this could be very difficult to achieve, however, while trying to keep the path in focus. I do like the bright color of the yellow in this picture and the concept behind it, though. Overall a pretty good picture.

I love how the yellow stands out in the picture. It looks amazing with the darker past the trees. It's a great picture. Good Job.

This shot has a lot of potential due to the bright yellow foliage in the trees and on the ground, however, the composition of the shot detracts from the overall quality of the image. The spot on the left side where you can see the road and pine trees pulls your eye toward it and away from the trees in the foreground. If you had taken the shot from a few steps to the left and taken away the road the shot would have been superb. Technically, the shot is fine.

I really like how the yellow leaves in the photo stand out in the photo, an how they lead you to the path that splits off into the road. I also like how you can see what looks like another road behind the trees, its creates a feeling that there is a road going through a forest .

I like the bright yellow trees in front they add a lot of color and i also like the path and how it make you look back into the picture farther. What i don't like is the street to the left of the picture. It would haven been better with out the street lights and the gaurd rails for the road

I really like your picture! It grabbed my attention right when I saw it! The rich yellow color draws you in! It is very crisp and clear. I also like the path in the picture. It leads your eye to the dark shadows and trees in the background. I think it is a very well rounded picture.

This is a cool idea for a shot but I think anybody could take this picture. There is too much going on. I would say pick one central subject and either get in closer to capture the shot or crop this shot in closer to something. The colors are pretty but it’s just and average shot.

I really like the color of the leaves in the photo. The bright yellow stands out from the darker background. I think it would have been better if there was a more focused subject. There is a lot of detail and really stands out. -SPHS, KS
