My Lovely Friend

Contributed by L Townson

I took this photo with my darling friend Laurel at this abandoned neighborhood in broken Bow South off of highway 119. It was actually in a graveyard in the abandoned neighborhood.

Wow, I really like this shot. I like the not so happy look on Jesus's face. You usually see him have either a happy or detached look on his face. I also like the fall colors in the background.

This image just pops off the screen! I love the splash of color at the bottom from the flowers. The use of filling the frame complements the overall quality quite nicely. I like how the figure is set in the middle of the frame and how he is hidden in the photo. The viewer can't see him immediately because they are attracted to the bright flowers but it moves the viewer's eye around the frame. I'm not sure if that was your intention but the flowers really "pop". I like the play on colors and the warm tones that are given off. Great job overall and I look forward to seeing more pictures that pop like this one did!

I really like how he statue blends in with the leaves and flowers surrounding it. I also like how the ice is on the statues and how what is not covered in ice blends in with the flower it is inside of, it creates a really great effect.

I like this picture because it almost tells a story. Also, I agree with the comments above. I like how you filled the frame and the colors in this picture. Everything blends in and then the flowers pop out a bit. Good job.

I really like this photo and think the colors go really well together. I am a little concerned that my eyes really focused on the flowers first, instead of the statue. Awesome job filling the frame, and all in all its a great photo.

I like the colors in this photo. Its very dark with deep tones. They really make the photo feel sad and depressing (but in a good way). The red flowers really add a lot to the photo as well. I think the whole scene is set up nicely, a really great shot!

I really like this picture. Its almost as if the statue is being pulled in by those vine looking things. I like the colors of the flowers against the brown leaves. It looks like something bad is happening and he is reaching out for hope(red flowers). Very good.

I really like this picture. The statue is being pulled away by the vines. I believe the vines are representing the people who wanted Jesus killed, and the roses represent the people who believes he is our savior. JM SPHS

i really like this photo. its as if all of the surrounding vegetation is dead but the ones around the statue is alive, like he saving it or helping it live. i also like how the colors match up and how he is laying in the bed of flowers.

This photo caught my attention the minute i saw it. I like how the colors work together to create this amazing photograph. By that i mean the blending that occurs in the statue and the flowers. The mood of the frame is also very interesting. Am not sure about the expression the statue is giving to the viewer. But overall this photo is one of the best(well in my opinion) i have seen yet. Keep up the good work! :D <_<'-MC
