twinkle toes

contributed by A Glass

I took this photo while out shooting for my feet, no heads assignment. It was about 35 degrees outside and I was some how able to convince her to take her shoes off and dip her toes in the water. I converted the image to black and white and did a levels adjustment Over all I am very pleased with this shot and hope that you enjoy it.

I like the choice of black and white for this picture. It reduces any distraction there may be if there was color. i also like how her toe is just barely touching the water- it gives the picture a very gentle look. but there is an imprint (probably from her shoes) around her right angle that could be clone stamped out. very nice shot though!

I like the composition of this shot, but it's way too dark. I really can't appreciate the ripples in the water because of how dark it is. The feet do give nice lines for my eye to follow, but to where, I dunno. It's just way too dark.

Although I do like the serenity in this photo, I feel like it may be a bit too dark. Maybe if the reflection of her foot on the water were more clear, it would be a bit better. Also the imprint on the foot really should be clone stamped out. Otherwise, it's a good shot, and I really like the way you cropped the image.

This is one of my favorite pictures, i like it because it's very attracting and cool. I like how you made it black and white it gives more glamour to the picture. I like how the foot is trying to get in the cold water. i also like the reflection of the foot. You did good job on those level adjustments. I really enjoyed this picture. good Job !

Aw, Andrew. This is a very nice picture! I agree with above, that I do like how you chose to do it in black and white, it creates a very soft and elegant mood that would otherwise be ignored with color. I would never be able to guess that it was so cold outside! I love how the composition is set up, the log, a little bit of her pants, it definitely adds something. - MeinkeSPHS

I agree with the previous that the choice of black and white really makes this photo stand out. The feet lead your eye down to the water, while the items in the background add some depth to the image. The only change I might would have changed is to have the reflection on the water stand out a little bit more as you cannot easily tell there is water there. Other than that, good job!

I really like this picture because it really stands out! It feel very realistic even though it is black and white. I also like how the jeans are rolled up unevenly. The water seems too black to me, but I like how you can still see the reflection of the foot a little bit. I really like the bark and the leaves in the photo as well!

There's something just so gentle and serene about this photo. I really like it. The black and white only adds to the gentle look of the picture. It makes you just want to lay back and relax. It is a very nicely done picture.

I’m not sure if I like this picture or not. I think the think that cuts it right below liking it would be that you can see her pants on only one leg. It sets a kind of sad mood but I do like that aspect of it. Maybe it would have also been better if her foot were further in the water. Idk, its okay.

This photo is very relaxing to look at. I like how you made the whole photo black and white gave so many moods to the frame. The serenity and gentleness give a warmth feeling to the viewer. But at the same time it shows sadness. One thing that would have made it a little more better would have been not to make the water that black. Also like it was mention before her foot could have been further down in the water. Overall great photo I really like the gentle mood in her feet. Keep up the great work! -SPHS MC

NICE PIC!!! I love the peace serenity this picture reflects!! Although the black and white gives it a very classic look i think you could adjust the darkness level to make it a little liter, so that the reflection or the ripples could be more easier seen. But over all GOOD JOB!!

I really like your picture. It is a very calm and relaxing picture. I love that you made the picture fully black and white. It gives the photo a summer feeling. I also like the angle of the picture. The only confusing thing is the water. It looks like a hard surface instead of water. Overall though i really like your picture!

I love the simplicity of this image. It is very beautiful. The angle of the picture is perfect because the diagonals of the feet work very well in the image. I like that the picture is in black and white, I don't think it would be as beautiful in color. The focus in this picture is great, everything is very crisp and real. The shadows and the reflection in the water all look awesome. I love this picture.

Oh my word that must have been freezing. I love the idea of this picture but it is to dark to actually tell that it is water that she is dipping her toe in. It is an amazing shot you just need to brighten it a little.
