Cottage HDR

Contributed by G Lee

This is a little cottage type home that I shot on the outskirts of the city. I really liked they way it was almost hidden away and it seemed as if not to fit in with the houses around it. So I took this shot and made an HDR out of it.

I really love the landscape in the picture. It seems like the house is leaning back. I wish that you could see the red door more. I also think the coloring is to dark. I think this photo should be focused more on the cottage, instead of everything around it. keep up the good work!

To me this really doesn't look like a HDR photo. It is kind of blurry but the colors pick up sort of well. I would think it would look better if it was just the regular photo.

Garrison I like your picture. I like the angle of the photo and its not looking at the cottage straight on. I also like how the cottage is not the only thing that catches your eye the trees also lead your eyes in different directions.

I like this HDR. I think it was done really well. I like how the center is lighter than the outskirts of the photo. It draws the eye toward the house. I think the sky is a little darker than the asphalt which kind of unbalances the photo. The angle is done nicely. The view gives the house more character and detail. The tree seems a little off the sidewalk and path provide leading lines.

What a pretty house you found. I love the hdr-ness of the simple yet elegant home. I love the red color on the door of the hdr house. It really pops of the page like a cap off a wine bottle. I also love the tree if front of the house. It looks very hdr. I also adore the green shrubs. I love shrubs. And when you capture shrubs in hdr form, I just lose it! Kudos you.

I like the colors in this picture and the lighting. I also like that it fills in the frame but yet its not too close up to the subject.
