Charlie's Eye

Contributed by C Averey

I absolutely adore horses, and I think Charlie loves me too. I got up closer to his eye to take this picture. I love how you can see the reflection in his eye of the surroundings and how the fur around his eyelid and towards the middle of his face are in focus. I did crop this in a little bit because the background was distracting to me.

What an interesting point of view! I really like the focus in the image, very clear! The cropping is perfect; no wasted space and just tight enough. I really like it because it is a creative image.

I like this photo. I like how the eye is zoomed in close and that there is a reflection in the eye. nice job :)

I really like this picture! You did a really good job cropping, because my eye did not get distracted with anything but the eye. The reflection in the eye is very cool and interesting, and i love how the fur is so defined and sharp. No space is wasted in the picture. It looks like the horse is looking directly at me, which is a cool effect. The sky and grass are interesting in the eye because they seem to be distorted or warped. Overall this is a great picture!

I love the shot. The picture focuses right on the eye and the reflections within it. Also the cropping that you did was probably for the better the content of the picture was well chosen. I love the expression on the horse as well. I love the expression on the horse as well. I see it is one of curiosity and excitement.

If the eye was more in focus it would have been better but I like how close you cropped it. and how its out of focuses in the background.

Wow I really like this picture! I love how close you got the horse. Great macro shot. It is very clear and sharp. I also like how you just go the horse’s eye; it adds simplicity, in a good way. I like how the image has no wasted space, and also has a little edge of depth of field. Good photo.

i reeeeally like this photo and i love how the eye reflects the surroundings behind you. i also really like the tight cropping of the photo! i do however want to make a suggestion, i think the photo would be infinitely better if you would run maybe a hue and saturation adjustment or levels or selective color, just to make the brown pop a little more. overall great work!

i like this picture alot, it takes up space. it almost looks alien and you wouldn't be able to tell that its a horse from this perspective.

Love it :) I have my own little quirks with it, but I'll leave the constructive criticism for those who aren't as ruthless as I am.

I like how you got the eye to act as a mirror and reflect what the horse was looking at. Also, the fuzzy background really helps bring the eye into focus. MB. SPHS.

I think this is a really amazing photo! It is at such a good angle and really different. The horse is beautiful and looks really sweet. I think it's good that you cropped out the background because it probably would have taken away, like you said. I also agree that it is really cool how you can see the reflection in his eye. Overall this is a fabulous photo :)

This is a great picture Christy! I love how clear and detailed it is. The colors in his eye are really what sells me in this shot. I think you should try to take it at an angle so you can see more of the sky and grass in the reflection, but really an awesome picture :)

I really like how you can see the reflection of blue sky and the green grass in the horse’s eye. I really like how you cropped the picture to look like you got really close. The focus is really clear and sharp too.

I love this photo! I have a couple of horses, and I know how much fun they are to photograugh. I really like the reflection in Charlie's eye, and how focused the lens is. I would have maybe left a little more picture in, instead of cropping it. I do like how there is only one eye though.
