Waterfall

Contributed by F(C) Jones

I took this picture at Heardmont Park for the water assignment. It had been raining and water was dripping off of this bench. I captured the moment. All I did was a levels adjustment and left everything else the same. I like how the water shows a reflection of the bench, but that's just me. I'm usually right.

FRANK-
i LOOOOOVVVEEE this picture! i really like how you captured the theme of water in such an abstract way. i think your choice of the angle for this photograph was excellent, the way the color pops, and the water drops reflecting the seat of the bench- and im ALWAYS right

The color in this photo is amazing! What a unique photo! I absolutely love the reflection in the drops. This photo caught my attention. Fabulous job!

Monsieur Frank. I agree the reflection of the benches is interesting, but just one of many awesome things in this picture. I like how you interpreted the theme in this picture. I really enjoy the colors too. Not too strong but enough to provide some contrast. Also, I don't know if you've noticed but the trace that the water left makes really interesting shapes. I seriously thought this was about people when I looked at it at first because of the shapes. One of them looks like a rooster. The only things you might wanna change about it is the composition. It's not exactly following Rule of Thirds so try cropping it a bit. Also, the edge is a bit slanted so making it straight would be cool. Awesome.-Princess Lumberjack, RC, SPHS

Nice details and color in this abstract composition. Like RC said I like the shapes formed by the drying drip lines.

I really like this picture because of the shapes the water drops left. One looks like a rooster. I like how the picture is focused on the water droplets and the blurred background looks really cool.

I really like this picture. I absolutely love how the streaks of the water's path on the bench look like shapes. The center-left one looks just like a chicken, and the other ones could be people or trees. I like how the bench and water is in focus, but the background is very out of focus. I also like the colors in the background. This is a very well done photo, and I really like it.

This picture is really interesting! I love how the shadows of the raindrops look like figures. For example the third one on the left looks like a rooster, and I highly doubt there was a rooster walking around at Heardmont Park.Great Observation!sphs

This is a really cool picture! When I first looked at it it took me a minute to understand the photo and see where the waterfall title was coming from, because of the abstract look and the way the water traces look like animals. The shapes of the water traces are very unique, you captured a very lucky moment. I love how the reflections that are seen in the waterdrops are all different because they are seen at different angles. The color and focus is great.

This photo really made me think before I read the caption under your photo! The drying drip lines from the rain drops add great detail to this photo because they make shapes. I also love how the background is out of focus when the bench and raindrops are in focus! Great photo!

I like this picture and I think it looks cool, but I don't really understand it. I see that it is water dripping, but what is it dripping off of?

Alright I like this photograph for a couple of reasons. First, I'd like to say the colors go really well together, and I like the blurred effect in the background. Now one thing that really stands out to me in an awesome way is the figures the water droplets left. It looks like a collection of abstract shadows and looks really great. Another thing I really liked was how the drops of water show a really nice reflection of the bench. Great job on the photograph.

There are so many things that I like about this picture. The colors bring a cold and wet mood. I like how the bench is reflecting inside of the water droplets. One of the remains of the water droplets looks like a rooster which makes the picture look awesome.

I like the subject and how you capture it. My favorite part of this image is the shadows or streaks look like kinda like people rockin out.I also like the contrast of the bench and the colors in the background behind it. good image, nicely done.

This is a really great photo. The way the streaks from the water look like shapes is really neat. I like how you made the background unfocused.
Nice Job.

What drawls my attention is not the rain drops but the stream that follows. Actually, upon first looking at the picture, i thought that the streams were shadows. I love how you focused on the raindrops and left the background behind it blurry. I also love the moment that you captured with this photo. Raindrops on a bench is not something you see everyday, well not in photography anyway. I absolutely love it! Good job!

I love how you can see where the water came down from and how the droplets have the reflection in them. I also love the background colors and how its blurred.

I like and dislike your picture, and it’s more dislike then like. I like the reflection in the raindrops, neat touch. But when you’re looking from left to right the drops become out of focus. That’s not too good. You lack a defined subject in the picture. I can focus on the cool rain drops or the bench. To be honest I would have waited until there where a few more drops of water. There’s also no use of the rule of thirds. I also don’t feel any mood from this picture at all. Yeah it’s… A bench with drops. Neat. But when it’s raining what’s setting it apart from anything else, or in other words, so what? I'm usually right.

This photo is really cool, I can not quite tell what it is, but that gives it a unique touch. I really like how you got the water lines as the droplets were falling. It is really impressive how you caught the water droplets right before they were fallying. I love the use of depth of field in the background; it adds a bit of color.

I think this is an awesome picture! I love how the bench is in focus and they got the tiniest detail from the water droplets. I also like how the lights at the bottom are blurred out and i also like them because it adds color to the photo.
