Broken Car

Contributed by T Hemby

I took this in Middle of Nowhere, Alabama. I was driving along in the country looking for clunkers and came upon this one. I did a levels adjustment and slightly tweaked the saturation. I really like the way this photo turned out.

You really used a creative angle in this picture. The intensity of the colors really makes the old car stand out. Very original.

I really like this picture! It looks like the car's been sitting there for a while...Good work filling the frame. Your thirds work is really good too. I like the level adjustment. It makes it kind of subdued. Nothing really pops out more than anything else.

This picture is really cool! the car is very antique looking. Its broken so so it adds something else to the picture. Also the broken car being out in the woods it makes the picture better!

This is a really cool picture. Great find by you as a photographer and the colors work really well - good call on your positioning, as the whole depth of field is a nice touch to this picture. I cannot say for sure, but this may have worked really well as black and white. Good job on this

I really love this picture. First of all, I love how all old cars look because it makes me think of simpler times. i also love how you got the car at an angle where it begins at the diagonal left corner, and fills the rest of the picture. I also like how you caught the weeds growing up next to the car. Great Job!! :D

The reason i like this photo is because i love old cars, and this one fills the frame. I like the contras of the green weeds against the blue car, this picture could have been more interesting though.

I really like this picture. I like the way it looks vintage and i also like the nice blue color of the car. I also like how green the grass looks and how the picture just fits well together. It also makes me want to see more of the car and where it was.

I really like this photo. I love the colors and the lighting. The vintage car really stands out from the grass which gives the image a really nice affect. Th lighting is good because there are no dark spots so you can see everything in the photo. Good Job

I really like this photography and I do like the way this turned out. The angle is perfect to bring out the car, and the colors complement the others. I would of changed one thing, and it would be to a black and white photo. I believe you may of tried that and it did not look to great, if so, i would change nothing.

I really like how the blue-turqouise of the car pops out! Very nice job on editing the saturation on it. The green on the plants is very popish too, and contrasts well with the car.

I like this photo because it has a well taken angle. The element of composition used is rule of thirds, which is used nicely. The lighting is great. And this picture reminds me of old cars, ha obviously, but I enjoy it a lot because I love old cars and just cars in general.

The blue in this picture next to the green is absolutely beautiful. I love the message of this photo, the earth taking over man made object or it could also be abandonment. One of my favorite pictures by far.

I love this photo! The colors are fantastic, and the blues and the greens contrast each other very nicely. I also really like the way that this is cropped. It creates a very nice balance in the picture. All the grass and weeds give it a very natural feel which is unusual for a picture of a car I really like it :)

This is such a cool picture! I love how the bold blue color of the car stands out against the grass. I like how this picture has a very antique look to it. The angle you shot it at and using the rule of thirds, makes the picture look very professional. Good job!

I like this picture because of the way that you took the picture. By getting the whole body of the car you really added some depth the whole picture. The colors really pop out and the lighting is excellent. I like the nice use of rule of thirds too.

I like the abandoned, wild look of this picture. I love how you can’t see the whole car and how the grass is long around it. The depth of field is also good, how it seems to get smaller toward the back of the picture. I think this is a really awesome picture. Good job.

For this photograph, I like how the colors correspond with each other well; the green really compliments the color blue on the car. For this photo it looks like they might have been trying to get rule of thirds. The lighting and exposure in this picture are both good but the exposure could have been toned down a little bit on the top of the photo on the hood of the car.

I'm not going to lie, this picture looks amazing! The composition used is interesting, it makes it seem like you came across this old car just out in the middle of no where. The contrast really compliments the image's color. The car is a beautiful subject, it's vintage look is very intreguing. It's a very good piece. Good job.
