Meandering

Contributed by A Garver

This is a composition that i played around with in photoshop. The original image is of grass being reflected in water. I used an adjustment layer and a gradient to manipulate the color (used Difference blending mode) I like the organic shapes and the complementary colors from the foreground to background. One thing you can notice is the depth of field is almost non-existent. This is an aesthetic I like to manipulate in terms of taking a photograph and make it look like a two dimensional painting of sorts. I don't its pretty abstract so it may look totally different to you. Enjoy!

what the heck myers, why is my color palette all screwed up, it did not look this way on my pc. i mean its not much different but the overall mood has been affected by the replacing of warm where cool colors were. it's less earth toney. well for anyone else imagine it more navy, scarlett, dark orange, and violet- Garver

hmm....maybe when I flattened it to post it, some color shift happened. We'll take a look tomorrow and replace if necessary.

Regarless of the supposed color problems, I still like this image, especially the difference between rough and smooth textures on top and bottom. The filter also looks pretty nice.
