This picture was taken Saturday at an old stone church in downtown Birmingham. I was looking at all the grave slates looking for the oldest one when I saw this ring. It was on the grave of a lady named Barbara Ruth, maybe left by her son/daughter or grand-son/grand-daughter. I love the depth of field in this picture. I had to literally lay in the dirt on my side to get this close, but it was worth it!

I love the depth of field, too, and also the angle and lighting. In fact, the rest of the image (dof & plaque) pretty much steal the show away from the ring. In fact, and it wasn't until I read the description that I understood how the ring fit. In any event, nice image.
this is a great shot. i like it alot. i like how at first u dont notice the angel on the ring but at second glance u do. The shot is also really clear. The levels are perfect and so r the colors
I also like this shot a lot. Great clarity in the right places. The diagonal linear elements help move my eye and frame the ring. I also appreciate the untold story here that every viewer will relate to in a personal way. great job!
i think i like this more if it was a little more saturated... cool that the ring says angel and the name is Ruth...very Biblical
