Distortion 45

Contributed by S Moffett

I took this picture last week with John and Jesus in Helena. They brought me to this bridge with a waterfall by it as well as some streams and a pond. I took this picture at a 45 degree angle and captured some of the ripples. At first it looks abstract, but then when you realize the the water distortion you see that its just distorted pebbles in the water. I changed the levels to expose so more of the top right corner and also increased the contrast in CS2.

Really liking the photo. Good focus on the water with a different view than someone would normally see. The funny part of the photo is the fly flying in the right side of the photo. Shows how close you are to the subject. The only thing I have to critique about the photo is the extremely blurry white spot on the lower left. Try and darken it to match the rest. Good Job!!

This picture is pretty good te water is really clear and it took me a while to realize it was water. Then the pebbles in the picture were really colorful. Good pic all around.

I really like the colors in this picture. I agree with brinkerhoff about the white spot, but besides that, it's a pretty good picture.

I love the perspective of this photo, on top of looking through the water the angle of the shot makes it that much more interesting. I like how the lighting and depth of field work in this shot. Steadily moving from light to dark with the focus in the middle seems to calm an otherwise busy photo. The detail on the ripples and under the water is great too.

Love this photo! The bright color makes it almost too busy but because you adjusted it to make it focused only in the center, it looks perfect! *thumbs up* When I first looked at it I thought it was just a pile of leaves. You did a great job hooking a person in, wondering what it might be. Nice job!
