Contributed by E Schmelzle I took this picture when i was in Alaska.... it was pretty much a point and shoot during a helicopter ride over a glacier.

The monocramatic-ness of this pic really captures the serinity. For a poimt and shoot it is amazing. However it could use some drastic white and black points in the pic.
Wow Evan this looks like something out of National Geographic. Alaska is the only state that I have not had the chance to visit. Your view of it from the helicopter is great and unique. I like the low clouds and the leading line in the glacier that takes me into the image. Nice capture.
Hey Evan that is a really good shot I liked it first, and i want it as my desktop background. I like the monochromeness (if thats a word) of the picture and the road really leads your eye throughout the image. Its a really nice shot i wanna go to Alaska now
Wow. Awesome shot. I've always wanted to visit Alaska and it because of pictures like these. This photo has very exciting feel to it, like its about to storm.
Evan...i...love....this...PICTURE............a lot. The curves are beautiful and the blueish overcast in the icey road actually adds to the picture instead of taking away. This and so many other things make it TRUELY beautiful.
This is amazing. It is such a great shot from far above. I'd love to visit Alaska now, just because of this picture. It looks as though this was a really neat place. Nice shot Evan.
This high school photoblog is the product of the photography students at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Al.
Students take turns posting one of their images along with a brief explanation each school day. The students also trade critiques with their peers from other schools around the country (see high school blog links below).
We are always looking to expand our participating schools. If your photography program starts a blog, email Mr. Myers so he can add your link to our growing list. emyers@hoover.k12.al.us

Wow, I love the lines of the road, they are amazing. The colors totally show the weather at the time and I really like the cloud cover!
