Vancouver

Contributed by M Crumbley

This Picture was taken in Vancouver. I put my camera in landscape mode. Then put on HDTV settings. and i pointed and clicked from there. I like the way it turned out the bay was almost empty and i like the light off the bay. This was just a right place at the right time kinda photo. I really like it. I mostly like how on the left its all buildings and on the right its all nature and they kinda meet in the middle right of the picture. I just really like it

Interesting vantage point, out over the water and all. While the skyline is a point of interest, I wish the exposure would have been more for the buildings as I would like to see more detail there. This would cause even more overexposure of the light on the water and white clouds however. The fix would be to pick a time to shoot a bit later in the day right after sundown. I would also move the horizon line down a bit and emphasize the sky more.

I definitely agree with Mr. Myers this one. It has very little detail, little saturation, it needs more. It also seems a little off center. That building on the left looks interesting, but it partially cut off. Good vantage point though!!

I have to agree with you, i think it's really neat how on the left its buildings, and the right is tree's. It looks to be a very beautiful place. Very nice Crumbley.

Well, after looking at your image on a better monitor I have decided to revise my previous comment. I can see details in the building and I do like that. The image is just a bit hazey, which is due to the time of day. A polarizing filter would help this a lot.

My favorite part of this picture is the vantage point. It feels as if your in a low flying helicopter or something.

Vantage point is excellent, color is not. I like the water, not the sky. Guess you'll have to go back to Vancouver! Try, try again.
