I took this picture in my basement. It was dark and i used a butane lighter to help brighten the composition. This lighter reflected off the water which created the swirling effect. I used a sink we have in the basement made of copper and put some coins in it and ran water over them. The drain was partially covered with a penny which created the swirling water. I think its a really cool shot. I like the colors and the swirling reflection of light off the water.

Blake, this is such an interesting shot. I like it a lot and it almost looks fake. I really like the ripple effect the water is doing. And i like the colors also. GOOOOOD JOB.

I agree with Jade, it Does look incredibly photoshoped. but that doesnt take away from it. rather it adds to it once you konw that its a straight up photo. its spiffy. I really like the colors and how the silver coins dont distract but instead kinda accent the piece. the coolest part though is deffinatley the wave/ ripple effect. its the thing that the eye is drawn most to.

this is a really cool picture.I love the angle and the color.
I think this is a great shot. The soft focus on the coins, the rich colors and the pattern on the water create a great rhythm that keeps my eye moving throughout the image. The highlighted water is rich with detail and is unique so I want to study it. I think that the uniqueness of the shot is its strongest asset. Good idea and nice execution!
This picture is really awesome. Your idea to use the lighter was creative and made the picture unique. The coins look great on top of the copper flooring.
