Lonely Track

Contributed by B Murphey

I really like this shot. I think the depth of field is good, along with the leading lines created by the tracks. I also liked this shot better in black and white. I waited forever and unfortunately never saw a train. Oh well, I still think it turned out well.

I like the use of the lines. The rule of thirds for this is great. I like how you put the photo in black and white. I think the depth of field could’ve have been achieved more if you moved over to the left more. Overall, the white border works great for this photo.

wow. this is a really really good composition. it reminds of the ansel adam pieces. i love how the border helps to capture the scene. also im guessing you did a level adjustment making it more dark which is excellent. also this is a classic example of good leading lines.

great black and white shot. I like the depth of field and the leading lines in this piece. And i think the white border helps to.

Beautiful shot with great depth of field, and good composition. I usually like a lot of color in a shot, but of course a big part of the attraction of this photo is the fact that its in black and white. Although the spelling of your name on the other page leaves something to be desired

I like the perspective in this shot; it makes me feel like I’m right there on the train track. I like the different textures and the reflection off of the metal. Your use of lines was effective at leading the photo, even though it doesn’t lead to a train. The dark grey tones in this black and white picture give it a sort of depressing feeling, which I’m not sure you did purposely, but it still creates a mood suitable to evoke emotion.

nice contrast of black and white. the monotone kinda makes the piece look really peacfull, calm, and isolated. sometimes color can be too vivid and create motion by itself so b&w works for this shot. the only thing I would change is that bright spot in the top middle. its somewhat distracting.

Even though they say that you are not supposed to play on the railroad tracks, this picture looks really good. It looks as if you just layed on the tracks or something. The tracks look so even with the camera lens.

That is a great picture! I really like the contrast of black and white, the different textures, and the reflection off of the metal. I think you did good job! Good luck next time with the train.
