A Fine Vine

Contributed by A Glass

I took this photo outside of Compass bank in Crestline Village. I noticed the vines creeping up the side of the wall so I decided to take this picture. I set my aperture to 3.8 so that I could bring out as much detail as possible. I then uploaded my photo into Photoshop and ran a hue/saturation layer over it and adjusted it so that the really vibrant reds and yellows of the leaves.

I really love how much you have brought out the colors here on the vines and how they draw you in. Compositionally though, I think you might could have done something a little more with the shot, as you really don't have a spot where your eye is supposed to go. Maybe you could have concentrated on one vine or even one leave. Other than that, it's a really good shot.

i like how the background is very dull toned so the leaves are more vibrant!

this vine looks like its standing and has real volume instead of just being stuck on the wall and two-dimensional. Good work.

This is a great photo, the wall is very sharp as well as the leaves and the leaves have amazing colors. I really love the contrast of the wall to the vine. My only critique could be to maybe get closer to the vine so there's more detail, but I also think this is a good view for the photo.

The colors of the vines in this photo. the lines in the photo sort of lead the eye all over the picture, so I just wish there was one spot in particular that the attention was supposed to be drawn to. But all in all the picture has very nice composition.

This is a great photo. I like how the stone really brings out the colors of the vines. I like at how you took the picture so the vines lead your eyes off the picture. Great job.

The lines from the vine and the cracks in the stone really makes my eyes move around this image because the vine takes an interesting path across the stones I also like the contrast of the red vine on the grey background, it looks very nice. Another interesting thing about this photo is all the different shades of red in the vine, ranging from very dark red to a yellowish-orange color. nice photo.

I like the picture because of the way it draws your eyes in. The color of the vines are very vibrant because of the plain background. I also like the lines in the stones. The contrast is great and the picture draws your attention, i like it.

I really like this picture. Its so clear and sharp. The colors on the vine make it pop out, which really makes the picture. The lines also add a great dimension to the photo. They draw your eyes wonder, bringing the photo to life. The rule of thirds is used nicely with the placement of the center of the vine. Its so good that it almost looks unreal. Its very beautiful and an amazing photograph.

I really like the intensity of the color in this picture. It really pops from the dull color in the back ground. I like how the lines of the stones and the lines of the vine are going in different directions. At the same time, it is a bit confusing because there is no one place for your eye to automatically focus. Over all though, good job.

This picture really grabs my attention. The vines look like they are moving up the rock. I like the fact that the colors change throughout the vines. The neutral color of the stones draws out the color of the vines. The photo has a good bit of detail. The vines almost look as if they are aging as they grow up the stone wall. I wish there was a focus point in this picture. The cracks between the stones, and the wavy vines move my eye all over the picture.
